Community/Karma Yoga

This class is taught by:

Kristi Burtner

As a recovering workaholic, she started doing yoga in 2010. After having a child in 2017, she felt her body long for her yoga mat. In order to learn how to incorporate yoga as a lifestyle, Kristi decided to get her 200RYT yoga certification in 2019. She's been actively teaching yoga since and is currently pursuing her 500RYT, and couldn’t love it more! Kristi says, "Yoga has brought a sense of strength and empowerment to me and my body that has been so valuable and I love to share that same knowledge with others and see them grow." Kristi is trained as a Trauma-Informed Yoga teacher as well as Vinyasa, Hatha, Restorative, Beginners and Chair Yoga.

Tess Lipscomb

Tess graduated with her bachelors in sociology from the University of Tulsa in 2013. She felt uncertain and lost about what her future held. Suddenly, yoga entered her path, and she has never looked back. She became certified in Vinyasa yoga by Toni Farris from Yoga Tree Plano in 2014. Yoga taught her that her path was as a healer, so she went on to pursue her masters. She received her master’s in social work in 2019 and is now a LMSW serving veterans as a therapist and yoga teacher. She passionately believes that yoga should be accessible and available for every body, no matter who they are or what paths they have walked. She loves the spiritual practice of yoga and takes so much joy in sharing this practice with others. She is a trauma-informed teacher, and is trained in vinyasa yoga, beginner’s yoga, and restorative yoga.
